My new Toy

Recently, i just acquired a new Android Tablet. The Acer Iconia A500. It's a sweet 10 inch tablet that in my opinion blows away the iPad.

The Good:
Fast, little to no screen lag at all
Brightness will blow you away
Thousands of apps available
6 hour battery life!
A USB port!

The Bad:
Touchscreen is not as sensitive as i would like.
its not a solid piece frame like the iPad, so it feels older than it should be.
file management isn't the easiest thing to accomplish.

Overall, i really enjoy this tablet, its easy to take notes in class or chapter with Evernote, and the full featured browser(with Flash!) lets me make it through those boring lectures.

8.5/10

Apologies for the lateness

well, its been quite a while since i've been on here to post. been busy with two jobs, and College and Fraternity life. anyways, i will try to keep regularly posting, and see how things go!

Firefox: Good and Better

Firefox is singularly the best browser on the net. It's closest competition, IE is slowly losing its customer base as more and more people are discovering the flexibility and almost infinite amount of plugins that Firefox offers. Not only is it lightning fast, its able to do anything that Microsofts and Apple's Browsers can do, just alot more. Plus, It's free! Below i have a list of the firefox extensions and plugins that i have installed and think everyone should.

ADBlock Plus:
Adblock plus is great. its that plain and simple. one you go through a ten-secon installation, ads are a thing of the past. It has a very discreet icon in the upper-right hand corner of the browser. if you decide for whatever reason you want to see the ads again, simply click on it and they appear!

Greasemonkey/Firebug.

Greasemonkey is like a plugin that can run user-made plugins on it. One plugin for Greasemonkey that i like is called GoogleFX which makes the google search engine even more powerful. Firebug is a powerful editor, which can edit anything on any website. i use it mainly for image pranks, as the changes are only in effect for your browser.

DownloadHelper:
Download helper is a great tool for you You-tube freaks out there. its powerful engine lets you download videos from almost any video site.

Fast Dial:
Fast Dial is a great tool. if your used to going through the menus in IE to get to your oft-used websites, you will be amazed. it creates several links in a grid with a picture of the website, which you can set to refresh every certain number of times, or even put your own custom icon.

NukeImage:
Nukeimage isnt exactly the most useful tool out there, but if you go to a website, and your trying to research something, but the important information is surrounded by huge flashing images that give you a boredline seizure, then this is for you. with a simple right-click, select NukeImage, And it dissapears!

Well i hope you enjoy this, and if you haven't delved into the world of firefox, take a dive and i promise you wont be dissapointed. got any other great firefox add-ons? lemme know in the comments section!
